The
pre-registration period started on 1 June 2008 and closed on 1 December 2008. It
was highly recommended to pre-register your substances which you
manufactured or imported, so that they gained phase-in status and benefited from the
phased introduction of the full requirements of REACH.
If you did not you are too late. However, there is the opportunity for late
pre-registrations subject to certain conditions. Contact
us if you want to know more.
SIEFs and Consortia
As
part of meeting the requirements of REACH, SIEFs will be formed. You will debate
the sameness of your substance with other pre-registrants. Then you will move
forward to meet the objectives of the SIEFs: sharing of data - in particular
data from vertebrate studies - and agreeing on classification and labelling. You
can also use this set-up for joint submission. We offer assistance
and support, for instance for project administration and management tasks,
facilitate the SIEFs and consortia, and act as a trustee for
handling confidential business information for and on behalf of consortia. In
